Standard Trailer Limited lifetime warranty
Great Northern Trailer Works Inc. warrants that this trailer will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the trailer for the first retail purchaser who is registered as the buyer. Axles and their components along with tires and wheels are warranted by their manufacturer. This warranty does not cover the following: Damage through abuse, misuse, neglect or accident; damage from misapplication, overloading or improper installation; improper maintenance; normal wear and tear; or any alterations to the trailer.
Replacement of the trailer or trailer parts is the purchaser’s sole remedy of this or any other warranty, whether express or implied. Great Northern Trailer Works Inc shall not be liable for service or labor charges incurred in the removal or replacement of the product, or for any incidental or consequential damage of any kind.
If a problem occurs which the owner believes is covered by this warranty, Great Northern will make its greatest effort to repair or replace the failure; if it is found to be within the terms of this warranty, within sixty
(60) days. The owner shall deliver the trailer at his expense to the manufacturer for warranty service.
THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT EXTEND TO:
- Any trailer or component in which the warranty registration card was not returned to Great Norther
Trailer Works. - Any trailer that has been altered, repaired or modified without prior written authorization by Great Northern Trailer Works
- Paint, finish durability and painter’s workmanship are not covered under this warranty
- Certain parts which require replacement in the ordinary course of use due to normal wear. Tires, grease and lubricants are considered as normal wear items and are not covered.
- Tires, axles, axle assemblies, suspension components, or any other equipment which is warranted separately by the respective manufacturers of said components.
The value of the product or material in error is our only liability. Any loss of time, storage, towing or lost wages are not covered under this warranty and will not be compensated.
State laws vary from state to state. Great Northern Trailer Works assumes no responsibility for any trailer not meeting states’ specifications.
Owners Obligations
To help keep your trailer in top pulling condition, we recommend you use the following check list each time you use your trailer.
- Check correct ball size for your trailer hitch.
- Check hitch. Is it showing wear? Is it properly lubricated?
- Fasten safety chains and breakaway switch actuating cable securely. Make certain the breakaway battery is fully charged.
- Inspect towing hookup for secure attachment.
- Load should be evenly distributed.
- Do not overload. Stay within your gross vehicle rated capacity. (Consult the trailer identification tag)
- Inflate tires according to manufacturer’s specifications: inspect tires for cuts, excessive wear, etc.
- Lugnuts should be torqued regularly.
- Check operation of all lights.
- Check that your trailer is towing in level position.
- Check floor for wear or deterioration
- Check brakes for proper adjustment.
- Secure all ramps and gates to locking position.
